- No. CraftNote runs its own transcription and speaker-diarization on the audio it records, so it does not rely on Zoom's cloud recording or Zoom's built-in transcript. It works the same on a free Zoom account as on a paid one.
- Does a bot join my Zoom call?
- Only if you want it to. On Mac and Chromium browsers, CraftNote records the Zoom call's system audio directly, so nothing joins the meeting. On Safari, Firefox, and mobile, or to capture a call you're not attending, you can send an optional bot that joins the Zoom call as a named participant.
